About Veronica

Hi, my name is Veronica, and it’s lovely to meet you!

I have worked in mental health since 2018, starting in peer support and transitioning over to practicing therapy in 2021. Prior to that I worked with books in a variety of roles, including as a publicist, editor, and writer. (I still do quite a bit of writing.)

I believe the therapy space should be one where we can have experiences that transform who we are, so I strive to bring my authentic self to our meetings. I prioritize creating a safe space and building trust in the relationship, and I wear my “expert” hat quite lightly. I like to give my clients the power to tell me where they need to go, and I help them realize the strengths and wisdom that they bring to our work together.

My approach to therapy relies on seeing your problems as separate from who you are as a human being, and on turning down the volume on that critical voice that loves to tell us that we just aren’t enough. Together, we learn the stories that compose your life, and we find the places for slow, careful changes that build up into substantial goals.

I also love examining the language that we use to talk about ourselves, and therapy with me often feels like a creative process where we collaborate in discovering the words that best suit you.

Lastly, I very much believe that therapy is about relationships. It’s a process of gradually building trust—both in each other and in ourselves—and as we do so we’re able to bring those long-held wounds to the surface and address them.

It starts from those very first greetings, and it grows in size and complexity as we build a long-term therapeutic relationship. I invite you to see just how good it can feel to reach out and begin a relationship where you can center your deepest needs and feel heard, seen, and understood.
